AcaFemia will organize a regular annual conference, more specific workshop on career issues for female academics, and dedicated methods courses.

Conferences

1. At the individual level: We provide practical tools, mentoring, and guidance for young women to survive in a male dominated academic world, support them in achieving their career goals and academic ambitions.
2. At the systemic or aggregate level: provide a forum to generate strategies and solve the collective action problem in order to change how the academic world works and is organized, in particular to reduce discrimination of and biases working against women in academia.
3. At the academic level: We want to create a safe and supportive environment to discuss research with the aim to help improving each other’s work, avoiding “size comparison”, criticism for criticism's sake, allowing women formulating and discussing their ideas without being mansplained or shot down.
